Dataxet has appointed co-founder Jason Lee as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 November 2026. He succeeds David Liu, who will remain on Dataxet's board and take on the role of strategy advisor, providing continuity through the leadership transition.

The appointment follows a planned succession process led by Dataxet's board. Lee has served as Dataxet's managing partner since co-founding the company, and from 2020 to 2022 he was also chief executive of Truescope in Singapore. Before Dataxet, he held a series of regional leadership roles in media intelligence across Southeast Asia.

As CEO, Lee will lead Dataxet's next phase: developing AI-powered insight products and solutions that help clients make strategic decisions faster and anticipate what comes next.

"AI is rewriting how organisations understand their world," said Lee. He added that Dataxet already has the data, the expertise and the people, and that combining them with AI will give clients insight that is faster, sharper and more predictive than before.

Liu, who has led Dataxet for the past six years, described leading the company as a privilege. He said the team had built something strong, and that in a fast-changing world Lee is the right leader for the moment.

Under Liu's leadership, Dataxet built a media intelligence network spanning Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. Dataxet's client and partner teams in every market remain in place.
